This is the Privacy policy for Rascals Theatre School. We provide children’s performing arts classes, workshops, in school clubs, holiday clubs & children’s parties.

 How do we collect data?

Rascals Theatre School will request that a parent completes a registration form/party booking form/school permission slip that collects personal information from you when you contact us to use any of the services that we provide. The same information is collected when you ask to join one of our waiting lists should the service you require be fully booked.

What information do we collect & store?

Our registration forms collect the following data: Your Name, Your child’s name, child’s age & DOB, details of your child’s medical conditions or additional needs, your address, telephone numbers, email address & details of emergency contact numbers & names. 

Our party booking forms collect the following data: Your name, Your child’s name, child’s age, your address, telephone numbers, email address & party details – venue, date & time.

Our School permission slips collect the following data: Your name, Your child’s name, your telephone number & email address, details of the school class that your child is in & any medical conditions or additional needs.

You may at any time request to see the personal information that we hold & you may ask us to correct or remove any information that you think is inaccurate. In order for your child to attend one of the services that we provide you agree to us storing this information.

How do we protect your information?

We promise to keep your data safe. We securely store your information on password protected laptops, Smart devices & computers. Occasionally at any of the services that we provide we may carry your paper registration forms which are securely stored in a lockable case. 

Who has access to your data?

Rascals Employees & Licensee’s have access to all of your data stored securely on laptops, smart devices, computers & paper registration forms. Registration staff at classes & holiday workshops has access to paper registration forms & registers.

Class teachers have access to class registers & party entertainers have access to party details. Occasionally our class teachers & party entertainers may have access to additional data should it be required in an emergency.

We will never share your personal data with any other organisations or third parties.

There may be reason to share some personal data with Child Protection agencies in accordance with our child protection policy.

How do we use your personal data?

We use your data to provide the services that you have requested. This includes ensuring the safety & well being of your child whilst in our care & to contact you or one of your emergency contact’s in the case of an emergency.

We will use your data to contact you with relevant information about the classes/club that your child attends or the party that you have booked.

We use 'Mailchimp' & 'Class for Kids' to send newsletters & other emails relevant to the service that you have requested. Mailchimp is an email tool that allows businesses to send one email to multiple contacts. Mailchimp is compliant with GDPR. Class for Kids is an online tool for the management of classes and is compliant with GDPR.

You can choose to be deleted from our Mailchimp database at any time. Click on the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of the email to be removed.

 How long do we keep your data?

 We will securely store your personal details for the duration of you using our services. When you no longer use our services, we will destroy all paper registration forms by shedding.

 Your personal data stored on laptop/computer will then be moved onto our ‘Left’ database, which we may use from time to time to send emails that may be of relevance to you, such as future holiday clubs, after school clubs or new party themes.

 If you no longer wish to be contacted for information/marketing purposes please ask to be removed from our ‘Left’ database. You can also remove yourself by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of our email.

 It is necessary for us to process your personal data as described in order to fulfil the service that you have requested from us. In particular we rely on this information in order to provide you with our customer service and to ensure the safety of your children.
